Chris Thomas with co-driver "Chips", an entry of Cool Motorsport with the Mitsubishi Lancer VII started attacking the rally from the start winning all the special stages. With a difference of 5.06 minutes won the event and at the same time became Cyprus Rally Champions 2005.

New Rally Car for Chris Thomas, a New Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9. After the bad luck of the last Rally (Palm Trees 2006) which Chris Thomas lost his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8 in fire, he is building a new rally car, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9. This car is scheduled to be ready during the first weeks of November. Since this car will not be ready for Chris next rally event, the Troodos Rally 2006 (Middle East Championship) on 26-27-28 October 2006, his Team Cool Motorsport decided for him to race with a Subaru Impreza to challenge the victory of this Rally.

A new rally car with different way of driving which needs a lot of practice because is the first time for Chris to drive a car other than Mitsubishi. His first comments after this first practice last week were very positive and with the help of his Team he expects to obtain a very good result on this rally. Good luck for him and his Team. |
